The Faculty Deputy for Community Service

Message from the Vice Dean for

Community Service and Environmental Development

Dear Colleagues, Students, and Members of the Community,

Based on the conviction of the Faculty of Medicine, Benha University, that its mission cannot be fully achieved without positive engagement with society, the Community Service and Environmental Development Sector represents one of the fundamental pillars of the Faculty’s mission. It works to transform medical knowledge and expertise into a tangible impact that serves individuals and society.

Through this sector, the Faculty is committed to strengthening communication with the local community, participating in health initiatives, medical convoys, and awareness activities, and contributing to the dissemination of health and preventive culture in a manner that responds to the needs and health priorities of the community.

The sector also works to build bridges of cooperation with various community institutions, as well as health, educational, and developmental bodies, while making the best use of the scientific and human resources available within the Faculty and its university hospitals to support the community and contribute to addressing health challenges.

Health awareness and disease prevention are among our foremost priorities. This is achieved through the organization of seminars and educational events, encouraging community members to adopt healthy behaviors, and raising awareness of the importance of early detection, medical follow-up, and adherence to health guidelines.

We also attach great importance to the concept of sustainable development and environmental preservation, working to raise awareness of sound environmental practices within the university community, promote the rational use of resources, and support initiatives that contribute to creating a healthy and safe environment.

The Faculty of Medicine at Benha University does not view community service as an activity separate from its academic mission; rather, it considers it a natural extension of its role in education, scientific research, and healthcare.

We will continue working to develop programs and initiatives that are more closely aligned with community needs, strengthen community partnerships, and assess the impact of the activities and services provided, ensuring that the Faculty plays an effective and sustainable role in improving community health and quality of life.

Finally, I would like to extend my sincere appreciation to everyone who contributes to fulfilling this mission, including faculty members, students, staff, and our partners from community institutions. I hope that the Faculty of Medicine, Benha University, will continue to carry out its scientific and community mission with the highest level of efficiency and responsibility.
